A distinction in commercial real estate held by fewer than 10 percent of brokers
Justin Ankney of Mayhugh Commercial Advisors has earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, the gold standard for commercial real estate professionals.
To earn the designation, candidates must complete more than 160 hours of education, covering topics ranging from financial, market and investment analysis to negotiations and ethics, with an emphasis on case studies. Candidates must also compile a substantial professional portfolio and pass a comprehensive, six-hour final exam.
Nationwide, fewer than 10 percent of commercial real estate professionals earn such certification. Those who hold the CCIM designation average 42 percent more transactions annually than a typical brokerage specialist, according to industry experts.
“From the outset, Justin has been a leader both within our firm and across the broader commercial real estate industry,” said Charles Mayhugh, owner of Mayhugh Commercial Advisors. “This prestigious accomplishment is testament to his hard work, dedication and expertise. Justin’s clients have always appreciated his steadfast dedication to not just meeting but exceeding their needs. With the CCIM designation, they can be even more confident in his ability to provide them with the highest level of service.”
A Yale University graduate, baseball team captain and four-year varsity starter, Ankney joined the firm in 2020 as a sales associate. He lives in Southwest Florida with his wife Lori, a second-grade teacher, and their two daughters.
“The CCIM designation is recognized as the pinnacle of expertise in commercial and investment real estate. I couldn’t be happier to have earned this recognition with the help and support of our team at Mayhugh Commercial Advisors,” Ankney said. “I look forward to building upon this expertise and continue being the most effective advocate on behalf of our clients as possible.”
The honor is just the latest at Mayhugh Commercial Advisers, which was also named Commercial Real Estate Exchange Inc. (Crexi) Platinum Broker for 2022. The performance-based award recognizes the top one percent of commercial real estate brokers on Crexi’s national platform. Earlier this year, Mayhugh Commercial Advisors also earned recognition from CoStar Group, a leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces, as Top Sales Firm and Top Leasing Firm for closing the highest overall transaction volumes in commercial property sales and leases in Southwest Florida. And senior advisor Chase Mayhugh, SIOR, CCIM, was honored as a Top Sales Broker and Top Industrial Leasing Broker.
